A Strong Foundation

I Cor. 3:11 – “Greater Foundation can no man lay than that

which is laid which is Jesus Christ.”

Reward in Heaven.

“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your

reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated

the prophets.” Luke 6:23

Trials = Growth

“ Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you

face trials of many kinds, because you know that the

testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature

and complete, not lacking anything.” James 2:1-4

Rest

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord,

make me dwell in safety.” Psallm 4:8

Loss of a Loved One

I. Trust God

As in all situations we must believe and trust that

God is still on the throne.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not

on your own understanding; in all your ways

submit to Him, and He will make your paths

straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6

II. A Heavenly Reward

When a person who has accepted Jesus as Savior

dies, they go to a much better place.

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has

seen, what no ear has heard, and what no

human mind has conceived”— the things

God has prepared for those who love

Him” 1 Corinthians 2:9

III. Focus on His love for you.

“ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and

courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be

discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with

you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
